HVS (Historic Vineyard Society) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the preservation of California’s historic vineyards. HVS’s mission is accomplished through education on the very special nature of these historical treasures.

Submit a Vineyard
A primary objective of HVS is to gather a comprehensive registry of California’s historic vineyards. To qualify as a Certified Historic Vineyard, a vineyard must be a currently producing California wine vineyard with an original planting date at least 50 years ago, in which at least 1/3 of existing producing vines can be traced back to original planting date.
