Ripe blackberry, cedar, exotic spices, and a hint of toffee. Red cherries on the mid-palate and the finish is a long soft hint of vanilla bean, coriander, and toasted oak.
This is one of the last heritage Zinfandel vineyards in Napa Valley. It has always been dry farmed.
The vines were planted in the 1880s. County records from the 1860 census states that Reason P. Tucker produced 500 gallons of wine from here.
Tax records show more Zinfandel was planted in 1906.
