Characteristics

The wine is intense and exotic, with a mouthful of concentrated cranberry and a cherry-tobacco nose. Rod Berglund of J. Swan Winery nicknamed it “the wild thing” in 1995.

Description

Craighead Vineyard was first planted in 1873. Current vine age is undetermined along with percentage of vines replanted. The specific plant date is under review with the Historic Vineyard Society Board of Directors.
