Characteristics

Lots of raspberries spice and mint. Fairly high in acid and low in pH. As a result the wines are generally bright and fresh with lots of red fruit.

Description

It is the last remaining old Zinfandel vineyard on Zinfandel Lane. It was planted by Charlie Volpi in 1920, just before Prohibition. Dr William Dickerson was instrumental in preserving the old vines before his untimely death by Tsunami.
