- Characteristics
-
These vines are reportedly some of the oldest French Colombard vines in Sonoma County. The previous owners spoke of their parents (who live on the property adjacent to Betty Ann Vineyard) talking with an older woman who visited the property in the 1970s who remembered picking grapes in the vineyard just after the 1906 earthquake.
- Description
-
The variety is French Colombard or West’s White Prolific – 61 vines that still produce as a non-commercial vineyard.
The vines are planted on St. George rootstock with no trellising and are head-trained and dry-farmed.
