- Description
-
Choral’s Vineyard is a 15-acre vineyard planted sometime between 1929-1935 on the outer edge of the Lodi appellation. For the first 80 years of its existence it was a dry-farmed vineyard. Vineyard health suffered and a subsurface irrigation system was installed. In 2023 surface drip irrigation was added to better monitor and control vine irrigation and health.
Missing vines have been replanted from cuttings from healthy vines in the vineyard. Scattered through the vineyard are a small percentage of ancient white varietals, Mission grapes, and unidentified reds.
