- Description
-
The vineyard name comes from the view of Mount Diablo in the distance. When the sun sets it looks like Mount Diablo is on fire. This vineyard block comes from the original family clone from the late 1800s. The vines are planted with a 9′ × 9′ spacing and rooted in sandy soil. The grapes have always been sold to Napa producers to blend with other Zinfandel grapes.
