Joe and Lou Maley planted St. George rootstock and then grafted on Zinfandel from the west-side of Lodi in 1969. Tokay sandy loam soil. Head-trained vines planted to 9′ x 9′ spacing yield approximately 1-3 tons/acre. Previous uses of the farmland were for tomatoes, Carignan, and Burger.
